New directions in the Ancient Near East

The 2012 Annual Conference of the British Association for Near Eastern Archaeology will be held at the University of Manchester from the evening of Friday 8th to Sunday 10th June 2012. The main venue will be the Manchester Museum.

The Conference organisers welcome all participants. As well as general sessions, there will be themed sessions on The City of Carchemish in Context and on Environmental change in prehistory. Titles and abstracts of papers are now available.

It’s not too late to submit proposals for posters. Titles should be sent to conference@banea.org together with 150 word abstracts. We are particularly open to contributions from younger scholars and postgraduates.

For further information, email conference@banea.org.

Registration is now open through the University of Manchester booking system. Cost: Waged £65; Unwaged £30.
