The BANEA 2018 conference was hosted by Durham University. The keynote lecture was given by Prof. Adam Smith and by Prof. Marta Luciani.

The sessions addressed a variety of interesting themes, including endangered Archaeology in the Middle East and North Africa, cultural heritage and approaches to visual culture, landscapes of empires and legacy data.
